After bagging a successful collab with the two major brands Adidas and Balenciaga, Gucci is now stretching its arms out for Harry Styles, the former band member of One Direction! The Italian House’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele and Harry Styles have been good friends for pretty much five to six years since Harry’s solo debut in 2017.

During the Milan Men’s Fashion Week presentation on Monday, the brand gave us the wonderful news about Alessandro Michele collaborating with the English singer Harry Styles for the latest menswear collection, titled “HA HA HA.”

“He has an incredible sense of fashion, he is obsessed with clothes. He keeps sketches and an archive, he could easily be a stylist or a designer and is very free, representative of this new generation that is interested in so many things. I have been observing his ability to combine items of clothing in a way that is out of the ordinary compared to the required standards of taste and common sense and the homogenization of appearance.”

More About The Gucci HA HA HA Collection

As for the name of the collection- Gucci HA HA HA Collection not only defines the blending of the initials of Michele’s and Styles’ names, but also depict the onomatopoeic sound of the laughing face emoji used for years to end their messages to each other.

Harry and Alessandro have co-created a 25 look collection where each look merges the distinctive style of both men. The ’70s vibe fits well with the rest of the clothes and accessories at the “Cavalli e Nastri” vintage store where Gucci staged this presentation. This collection reflects Michele’s and Styles’ shared love for vintage clothes.

The collection featured flared pants, duffle coats with a British vibe in mannish fabrics, cute teddy bear brooches, colorful shirts with childlike motifs of cherries or sheep, a velvet double breasted tuxedo jacket, ankle boots with a bright red heart leather intarsia and many more interesting things. It also unfolded Styles’ signature Gavroche caps at the presentation.

“It’s the look of a lord who morphs into a rock star,” Michele offered to explain about the entire collection.

The latest collection will be available for sale at the Kering group flagship brand’s stores in October. Michele believes that the collection will attract not only Styles fans but also anyone and everyone who is passionate about fashion and clothes.
