Louis Vuitton is to present nine never-seen-before looks to the Bangkok audience!
After the Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director, late Virgil Abloh’s 8th and final collection which was showcased in Paris, the French House is taking the A/W 22 Men’s Wear Collection to Thailand’s capital this month.
About The Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 22 Men’s Wear Collection
“Each show has an intimate relationship with its predecessor and announces its successor. A spin-off reinforces and builds on the previous show. The client wants to see the next iteration of the designer’s point of view.”
explained Michael Burke, Vuitton’s chairman and chief executive officer
On the 31st of May, Louis Vuitton announced that it will be hosting a “spin-off show” in Bangkok on June 1 along with a short film for the upcoming fashion show.
The brand kept a “cinematic prelude” by director Sivaroj Kongsakul titled “I Dreamt of You,” for the social handles. The film portrays Abloh’s Boyhood Ideology about seeing the world with the unspoiled eyes of a child.
The runway will be hosted in a new version of the sky blue “Louis Dreamhouse” set that was erected for the original Paris show in January. The set incorporates rooftops, chimneys and a bedroom. The show is to unveil in the Icon Siam complex in Bangkok, where Louis Vuitton operates one of its five Thailand boutiques.
The original collection was almost completed by the time of Abloh’s unexpected death from cancer last November which carried his essence.
The nine never-seen-before looks from the original Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 22 Men’s Wear Collection are said to explore three major ideas — “the coming-of-age premise, the global perspective and the cycle of creativity” — through “circular motifs.”
You can watch the complete live stream on 1 June at www.louisvuitton.com and @louisvuitton at 13:30 BST or 7:30 pm (UTC+7).
