Rahul Mishra’s Collection
Rahul Mishra’s new collection was themed as “The Enchanting Garden“. The showcase was held in the garden of the Italian Embassy instead of the AC halls to get into the spring mood. The flora of the garden complimented the beauty of the designs along with the light music in the background.
The models walked the lawn instead of a ramp amidst the onlookers wearing marvelously crafted lehengas, dresses, gowns, sarees, etc. Looking like a fantasy, the designs were heavily inspired by Mishra’s love of nature, floral patterns, and colors.
The collection consisted of extremely meticulous surface embellishments, sequins and embroidery works. There were also a number of flowers embellished on the dresses such as Himalayan poppies, foxgloves, calla lilies, bellflowers, hollyhocks, iris, and anemones.
Handcrafted with love and care, the embroideries were a mix of pastel shades, reds, and blues. Rahul’s signature style, which are 3D-butterflies, stood out immensely in his varied designs. This was a perfect welcome to the pleasant springtime!
Women’s designs flaunted sharply cut jackets, floor-skimming gowns, swirling lehengas, and saris. Meanwhile, men’s wear used floral embellishment along with shimmer in the collection. One could quote the relaxed tailoring with sheer garments in menswear.
