A welcoming wave of body diversity could be traced in the fashion radar over the last few seasons as designers such as Christian Siriano and Chromat are broadening up their perspective and coming up with wider apparel choices. And while Brandon Maxwell Spring 2019 runway was filled with tall and slender lasses, Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldridge stood out of the crowd with her growing baby bump.
The long red body-hugging dress adorned by Aldridge clearly showed off her baby bump as she walked on the runway for Brandon Maxwell along with fellow models such as Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid and even Joan Smalls.
Lily looked stunning in her middle-parted hair which was neatly pulled back and held in place with a golden B-shaped corkscrew and minimal makeup which diverted all the attention to her well-endowed figure.
Aldridge uploaded multiple runway and backstage photos on Instagram and captioned it saying, “So proud to walk the @brandonmaxwell runway 5 months pregnant.”
The would-be mom also added that, “I’ve walked few runways in my life and this is a moment that I’ll look back on forever with great emotion ❤️ Thank you Brandon for letting my shine & being such a true gentleman, Love you FOREVER!!”
She even thanked the entire hair and makeup team whose contribution mattered the most for pulling the show together by saying, “Thank you @georgecortina for making me feel so beautiful 💋 makeup by my love @tompecheux & hair by the sweetest @jamespecis ⚡️ @mr_stephengalloway from pumping me up before the runway 💃🏽 And love to all the amazing powerful girls casted in the show by @johndavidpfeiffer 💋 It was so much fun being backstage will all the girls, everyone was so uplifting and rubbing my belly celebrating this beautiful journey with me.”
One of her Instagram photos titled “Nothing but Empowerment at Brandon Maxwell” showcased Bella Hadid touching her tummy while getting ready backstage.
This isn’t the first-time Aldridge is walking for a designer while being pregnant. She was two months pregnant while walking the ramp for Victoria’s Secret and making the world gape at her sassy confidence.
