The actress opened up to the magazine for its July issue, discussing her climb in Hollywood from Olivia on White Lotus to Cassie Howard on HBO Max’s Euphoria. Sweeney explained that she compartmentalizes her life so that her characters’ traumas and drama never seep into her true self.

Fans believed she was inspired by Sue Sylvester (played by Jane Lynch) on Fox’s musical sitcom Glee. The principal always wore tracksuits with her short blonde hair, much like Sweeney, but with a more modern and youthful twist.
