Emma Watson, Rina Sawayama, Hunter Schafer were an unexpected surprise to behold at the Schiaparelli Fashion Show!

“I wanted to make a collection that brought me back to the kind of fashion that I fell in love with and that period of fashion that feels, in retrospect, very naive in a way.”

mentioned artistic director Daniel Roseberry

The Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week has begun and Elsa Schiaparelli, the high-impact luxury house, opened the week at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The Italian Maison gave us a striking head start into the week with its exuberant and unique artistic designs. The creative director, Daniel Roseberry, idealized “being in conversation with the people who had been so inspired by her.” into her designs.

Paying homage to the luxury house’s talent, few other fellow designers created some designs in the collection. Among them were Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultier, Azzedine Alaïa and Christian Lacroix.

About The Schiaparelli Couture Fall Collection

With Christian Lacroix’s 1987 debut collection as the very first inspiration, Roseberry played with giddy pouf silhouette, bustles and gigot sleeves, coruscating toreador embroideries and matador hats in this latest collection as well.

The collection presented tons of evening necklines that plunged south of the navel, cantilevered bodices, voluminous signatures, low cut dresses with revealing belle poitrines, floral displays and embroideries of sunflowers, roses and lavender fronds and many more thrilling ensembles.

A few eye-catching outfits were the velvet blue dress with a single shoulder strap and a flower, the black velvet dress with voluminous flower patterns and the black gown with embellished golden flowers and many others.

The Schiaparelli Couture Fall Collection was everything Roseberry had promised us, a “mashup between something that felt incredibly modern and then also wildly romantic!”

Emma Watson And Other Celebs At Schiaparelli Couture Show

The 32-year-old actor chose an ensemble that was the perfect mix of luxury and streetwear style. The black blazer equipped with power shoulders and monumental lapels was definitely from the opening look of Schiaparelli’s spring 2022 couture collection. Watson matched the piece with a white collared shirt, skinny grey jeans, and a chunky pair of black leather Dr. Martens Chelsea boots. The actress was an unexpected surprise since she had been private from quite some time.

Other celebrities on the front row were Natasha Lyonne, Karlie Kloss, Rita Ora, Rina Sawayama, Sabina Jakubowicz, Olivier Rousteing, Maggie Maurer, Law Roach, Hunter Schafer, Jaime Xie, and many more.
