The fashion week will be held in Mumbai from the 12th to the 16th of October 2022.

Following the success of the first physical edition in the capital this year, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Lakmé Fashion Week return to the city of dreams, Mumbai.

The second season of Lakme and Rise Worldwide’s fashion week will take place from October 12-16, 2022.

Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani, JJ Valaya, Ranna Gill, Varun Bahl, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Punit Balana, and Falguni Shane Peacock attended the on-ground New Delhi edition in March 2022. The platform also actively campaigned for sustainability through ground-breaking activities while simultaneously promoting themes of inclusivity and diversity.

In October, the coming FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week will build on this momentum with a stellar lineup of talent from throughout the country. “We’ve received amazing gratitude and support from the industry for bringing back the fully physical version of FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week in March 2022 in New Delhi,” said Jaspreet Chandok, head of RISE Fashion & Lifestyle. Having said that, they are already working on assembling an even stronger lineup for the second edition of the event, which will take place in Mumbai in October 2022.”

The physical presence was a breath of fresh air for the fashion business, keeping with the fashion week concept, which centres around innovation and creativity. Sunil Sethi, chairman of the FDCI, comments on the experience, saying, “The return to a physical structure of the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week in Delhi was a welcome shift following the hybrid editions of the previous two years.” It allowed the designers to share their talents with the audience up close and personal.

The March 2022 entirely physical edition of FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week, according to Sumati Mattu, head of innovations at Lakmé, was a showcase of Lakmé, RISE, and FDCI’s fortitude and drive to help the beauty and fashion industry navigate the new normal.
