About Fendi X Versace
The founders of two luxury brands, Donatelle Versace and Kim Jones were first announced the collection together during Milan Fashion Week in September 2021. This collection is to be a tribute to their long lasting friendship and, hence, the name is ‘Fendace, The Swap‘. The collection consists of handbags, jewelry and sneakers for both men and women.
“It’s a swap rather than a collaboration and, most of all, it is done out of friendship. It is the beauty of togetherness after time apart and a celebration of women who have inspired me so much.”Kim Jones
The collection has two parts where the Fendi by Versace line will be created by Donatelle Versace and Versace by Fendi line by Kim Jones. The collection includes logo stamps, gold ornates, and gorgeous, textured clothing for both men and women as portrayed in the Pre-Fall 2022 lineup.
The Versace line will showcase the brand’s signature items such as safety pins, bold baroque print dresses, swimsuits, tops and even fake furs with Fendi squares and the Versace print. The Medusa head totes in the line Versace line might be the highlight of the collection.
On the other hand, the Fendi collection is going to present short minis covered in the Fendi logo, denim pantsuits, bell-bottoms, mesh dresses, peekabos, baguettes, safety pins, silver gowns, and shimmering long gowns.
Both brands released the advertising campaign video for Versace X Fendi Collection through Instagram that is shot by Steven Meisel and Alec Maxwell. The video featured a few models such as Imaan Hammam, Anok Yai, Lina Sang, Adut Aketch, Amar Akway, Anja Rubik, Kristen McMenamy, and Naomi Campbell.
The collection will be available for purchase through multiple pop-ups and global events in London, New York, Dubai, Paris, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, and several other places.
